Founders' Associate – Strategy & Operations
Act as a force multiplier for the founders across strategic projects and operations to help scale our foundation model startup.
About the Role
TileBio is a deep-tech startup building a foundation model of pathology. We are decoding the underlying structure of biology to accelerate cancer diagnosis and drug discovery, aiming to revolutionise digital pathology. We operate with rigour, speed, and a mission-first mindset.
This is a high-leverage role for an ambitious junior professional, designed for someone ready to learn the entire lifecycle of a venture-backed, deep-tech company. You will work directly with the founders, acting as their force multiplier across strategic projects, operational efficiency, and critical business initiatives. This role is a clear pathway to a Chief of Staff or Head of Operations position as the company scales. You will be expected to execute, solve problems autonomously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift based on impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute cross-functional projects, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and new commercial opportunity vetting
- Streamline internal processes, manage key vendor relationships, and help define efficient systems for a rapidly growing team
- Support the founders in preparing for board meetings, investor updates, grant applications and future fundraising rounds, including drafting materials and managing data room logistics
- Assist in early-stage recruiting, onboarding new team members, and helping to maintain the company culture as we grow
- Manage internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and alignment across technical and business functions
- Coordinate with the Fractional CFO on budget tracking, expense reporting, and financial compliance tasks
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional organisational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
- Strong analytical ability and fluency in creating compelling presentations and written documents
- A proactive, "figure-it-out" attitude where you anticipate needs and drive solutions without constant prompting
- High degree of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive company and personnel information
Nice to Have
- Experience in a high-intensity, analytical environment such as startup operations, consulting, venture capital, or a similar fast-paced industry role
- Direct experience in a startup environment, especially a B2B or Deep Tech company
- Familiarity with project management tools and agile methodologies
- Demonstrated passion for technology, AI, or the life sciences and healthcare domain
